The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches us that:
“In a very special way, parents share in the office of sanctifying ‘by leading a conjugal life in the Christian spirit and by seeing to the Christian education of their children.’” [CCC 902] Furthermore, “Through the grace of the sacrament of marriage, parents receive the responsibility and privilege of evangelizing their children. A wholesome family life can foster interior dispositions that are a genuine preparation for a living faith and remain a support for it throughout one’s life. Education in the faith by the parents should begin in the child’s earliest years.” [CCC 2225, 2226] Please take the time to register your children for religious education at St. Helena, St. Francis Catholic Church, and Our Lady of Lourdes at St. Helena’s. Our mission is to “lead souls to Christ”, yours and that of your children.”
